Work Samples
This section contains several samples of my personal work.
Various pieces include a Press Release written while I was working for Bright Futures USA as well as a Monthly Newsletter I developed while working as the organization's Training and Operations Manager from 2012-2014.
The pieces titled "Lions and Bears," "Making a Difference," and "Recognize, Remember, Renew" are all pieces I wrote as assistant editor of Crossroads and that were included within an issue of the magazine. You may also view full electronic copies of magazine issues by following this link. I was the assistant editor for the Fall 2011 edition as well as the Winter 2011-2012 edition.
The "Donor Letter" and "Potential Donor Letter" are letters I wrote for a group project I led that promoted the local Boys and Girls Club.
The piece titled "The Effects of Ambivalent Sexism on Academic Performance" is a paper I wrote during my undergraduate research study within the Psychology and Communication departments.
The "Newsletter" section includes a copy of a newsletter I helped write during my internship at the City of Joplin. Some of the sections I wrote include "Election brings four incumbents back to council," "CivicPlus donates website to Joplin," "Cunningham Pool will open this summer and offers great appeal to all ages," and "Free trolley rides offered on Earth Day, April 23rd in celebration of Earth Day." I also helped in the editing of all newsletter pages.
The "Arbor Day,"Farmers Market," and "Day of Unity" sections include copies of press releases I wrote for the City of Joplin during my internship in the City's Public Information Office.
